The Mission of River City CDC is to strengthen communities and improve the quality of life for residents in Elizabeth City and Northeastern
North Carolina.
Founded in 1990, River City CDC is dedicated to providing strong leadership through the implementation of programs and initiatives that provide affordable housing, economic and workforce development, health and wellness, cultural awareness, and youth empowerment.

At River City Community Development Corporation, we believe that all people should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Since being founded in 1990, it has been our continued mission to improve the quality of life for all residents in the Albemarle region. We do this through our steadfast commitment to homeownership, job creation, business development, cultural awareness, and youth transformation.

As we tackle the new challenges of building communities, empowering our youth, encouraging entrepreneurship, and nurturing our seniors in Northeastern North Carolina, we look forward to a bright future and continued service to our community. River City Community Development Corporation will forge ahead; not resting on our laurels knowing there is much work to be done.
