YouthBuild Students Pack Food to Help Children in Need
To cap off a year of service and learning, YouthBuild students played a part in ensuring hungry children get food.
Just before leaving for the Holiday break in December, 10 students came together to sort and pack food for the Albemarle Food Bank’s Backpack program. This program helps children and families in need by giving them food to eat over the weekend. YouthBuild students sorted through packs of cereal, snacks, cans of food, and more, completing 9 pallets of food that were distributed to schools and churches throughout Elizabeth City and Pasquotank County.
