Building Brighter Futures Together

Throughout America, there are an estimated 4.9 million young adults ages 16-24 who are neither in work nor school.  Of these, there are estimated to be as many as 3 million youth living in poverty who are not in education, employment, or training.  These are the opportunity youth with whom YouthBuild programs around the country work.

As an affiliate of this incredible network, River City YouthBuild provides opportunity youth the pathways to redefine their lives through educational, professional, and leadership development.  The program provides a pathway to education through General Education Development (GED) classes, as well as on-site construction work experience or exposure to the health care field through a pre-Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) track.  To enhance this experience, the program also provides job skills training, leadership development, exposure to community service (via AmeriCorps), and access to supportive services during and after graduating from the program.  This investment transforms youth into educated and economically self-sufficient young men and women.

River City YouthBuild is dedicated to unleashing the intelligence and positive energy of young people to transform their lives and rebuild their communities.
